Architectural Conservation In Brazilian Architecture And Urban Design Undergraduation Courses: The Teaching Disarticulations Between Theory And Project Practice

In the last two decades, discussions and methods of architectural conservation design have become more and more available in Brazil. However, in spite of this aparent development, heritage preservation still faces a minor impact over the general curricula of Brazilian schools of architecture and urban design, provoking specific disarticulations of theory and practice in built heritage conservation education. This article aims to discuss these issues based on contemporary studies on higher education and recent recommedations proposed for architectural conservation education, addressing the need for awareness of preservation as a potential field for architectural creation. A WBEM based solution for a 4G network integrated management

Next generation networks will put a new set of challenges related to operation and management, due to the increased complexity arising by the seamless integration of different kinds of technologies, services and terminals, and with the expected offered bandwidth. In this paper we present a Policy-based management system that is being developed inside the Daidalos IST project for such environments. An IDE for NETCONF management applications

The development of network and system management software typically requires data models definition, the creation of specific applications respecting the data model, and yet the implementation of communication interfaces. Skilled professionals usually perform such tasks in a predefined sequence and using different development solutions, but any error or lacks in the data model frequently force to repeat several time-consuming tasks. In this paper we present an integrated development framework that simplifies the construction of NETCONF management applications, from data model specification to deployment and evaluation. Spinning Hexagons

We reduce the computation of three point function of three spinning operators with arbitrary polarizations to a statistical mechanics problem via the hexagon formalism. The central building block of these correlation functions is the hexagon partition function. We explore its analytic structure and use it to generate perturbative data for spinning three point functions. For certain polarizations and any coupling, we express the full asymptotic three point function in determinant form. With the integrability approach established we open the ground to study the large spin limit where dualities with null Wilson loops and integrable pentagons must appear.Comment: 40 pages, 14 figure
